Urban Canopy Works is going to the Partners in Community Forestry Conference in Louisville, KY, November 17 and 18. Produced by the Arbor Day Foundation, this conference is the largest international gathering of urban forestry practitioners, advocates, researchers, and government leaders. People come together at this event to share best practices and get new ideas. As always, UCW principals Rachel Comte and Jenny Gulick are looking forward to the Partners Conference. “It’s a time for urban forestry professionals to come together to share their passion for all things trees, from planting and care to learning about the latest research,” says Jenny. “We bring new ideas and best practices home, but we also get the opportunity to form partnerships with other attendees, which is a major goal of this event. The person sitting next to you at lunch may live 1,000 miles away but could open a door to a new opportunity for your business or your career.”
This year, Rachel and Jenny are also heading to Louisville because Urban Canopy Works is growing and looking for motivated professionals to join our team. We especially want to connect with people with strengths in municipal arboricultural management and urban forestry operations. If you want to learn more about the types of projects our team works on, read about our projects on our website. Then contact us from there, message us on LinkedIn, or better yet let’s connect at the Partners Conference to discuss the possibilities!
