Knoxville Urban Forest Master Plan (2023-24)
The City of Knoxville has seen significant changes in canopy over the last ten years, and recognizes the value trees provide both in public health benefits and by reducing the effects of climate change, air pollution, and flooding.
Trees Knoxville, a Knox County tree nonprofit organization, partnered with the City of Knoxville, Keep Knoxville Beautiful, TN Division of Forestry and Knoxville Utilities Board, to develop an urban forest master plan.
The project was completed in February 2024.
